  Point Abino Station
A Facility of the Buffalo Yacht Club

Highlights
Our facility, on the beautiful Canadian shore of Eastern Lake Erie is halfway between Port Colborne, Ontario and Buffalo, New York. We are located on the weather-protected east side of Point Abino, at the apex of Point Abino Bay. Our superior location allows access to and from our basin and Lake Erie in the protected waters of Point Abino Bay. Even in adverse weather conditions, sail, swim in the always-warm Lake Erie, and boat when you want to, not when the weather permits.

Shore Side of Property

Our building complex, designed in a classic "Muskoka-Lodge" style, includes the following:

 1) The “Kitchen” building that has 3 newly
        constructed fully-equipped, self-help
        member preparation kitchens as
well as an indoor dining hall, a covered
dining porch and an outdoor grill
        area.

 2) The “Big House” surrounds a massive
stone fireplace and is the center of
social activity. In 2009 a new deck
was constructed to link the Big House
 and Kitchen, providing more outdoor
dining and social space. On either side
of the Big House sit the men’s and
women’s bathroom and shower
facilities as well as a laundry room,
junior sailing offices and storage lockers.

 3) The “Pool” complex includes
3 separate pools all enclosed in
a fenced area with a covered
shelter and concrete sun decks.
There is a children’s wading pool,
a main pool and a 12 person
Jacuzzi pool.

4) The “Tennis” complex has 2 regulation fully
         fenced courts.

All this is comfortably spread amongst lawn, woods and sand dunes in a picture-perfect summer setting.
